You don't have to wear black, since it's not in your family , but I wouldn't show up in a festive color like red or hot pink, keep the colors very neutral (blues, browns, light pastels) but more importantly keep hem lines long and neck lines high.
I hope this helped

Anything that's black. Maybe you could plan an outfit with your friend, since it is your friend's granpa. Just make sure you don't wear any bright/happy colours or revealing clothes. Dress modest and conservative.
A nice black dress would be nice. Just don't wear makeup or accessorize because it is a funeral visitation. Maybe a blouse and pants/skirt?

No cleavage. A black sheath would work with a jacket (something conservative), pearls would give a classic touch, and black tights to make sure no skin is exposed. No flashy fabrics-like satin. Try cotton or velvet the most common fabrics for funerals. Also wear black flats, no heels. Put your hair in a bun.

hope this helps!

skirt or slacks are fine w/dress shirt-color isn't entirely inappropriate now, but, generally, neutral colors. You don't want to show too much skin, or wear animal prints, try to blend.

Especially since it's your friends' grandfather, not your own family, so subtle is best.

Sorry for your loss.

Etiquette rules state that you should wear black (unless the family has requested some other kind of attire), and you should definitely be conservatively dressed. [No low-cut tops or short bottoms] Just look nice, but modest. :]

Good for your for supporting your friend, I know it means a lot to her.

Visitations are generally informal, you can wear your normal street clothes as long as they're neat and modest.
