My baby Uro has a strange build up of what appears to be skin all around her mouth. It makes look kinda weird, and she's always wiping her mouth on her wood, and her tank walls. I was wondering if anyone knows what this could be, or how to get rid of it.
Thanks

This problem seems to come up often with Uromastyx'. It is called 'Hyperkeratotic dermatitis' and is most common in the lip region. It can be bacterial or fungal, based on what caused the formation in the first place.

The treatment is to take her to a vet where they will give her a biopsy and culture and based on the results give you a antimicrobial cream to treat the problem.

Usually the cause of this is from the humidity being too high, which aids in bacterial growth, and temperatures being too low, which cause skin problems for your lizard.

It could either be skin that hasn't shed completely or she does have a respiratory infection. It would be a good idea to take her for a check up to an experienced reptile vet just to be sure.
