I don't mind anyone's attitude...most people I avoid anyway. But it sure irritates me that I can't think fast enough to keep from being killed by the yeti in World of Warcraft, and I am lost yet again in the Barrens.

I am at the age when I am a Senior BUT I am still paying health premiums to the tune of $520.00 a month, my deductible is $6,800.00, I do not have dental insurance....the reason I complain is...If I could just become illegal, knocked up (welfare) I would get this all for free, I worked all my life to pay for leaches that will not work, I am not talking about our VETS nor handicapped people, the young ones that stay continuously knocked up for anything they can get for free, out county is FULL of these types, I called asked the welfare department, was told, "Its worse than you think",..then if I need help, I can go to hell, they get free medical, dental, food, cash, wic...on and on, tax payers needs help "You can go to hell".

As an old gal aged 69, I hope that the years are bringing out my best rather than my worst. Since I'm not going to live forever ( ha ha) I'd better do well with what I've got. At least I do seem to have learned from my many mistakes. And since I have successfully flown over the cuckoo's nest, its up to me to "fly away home" when the time comes, and leave some good behind me. Re. "ignoring issues that are age related". My mirror and body won't let me, and that's the truth.

i think that if you want to get serious you need to take the problem, question, whatever to the section that desevers it -- i spend maybe a hour a day over in the business area and some time on the farming section - there it is all business and i have to put my professional hat and rant on == here i can relax a little but i do find some times it is hard to get into fun that most of you have!!!! like the question a while back about getting the garden dug -- which was a very good joke == when i first read the question the first thing that came into my mind was "if he would get some goat crap and straw he could have the softest dirt and easy to turn off and you do not have to wait a year for the crap to age and for some reason goat and sheep crap does not contain the weeds that cow and horse crap puts in to a garden" so i call up the question enjoyed the joke and passed on answering the question!!!

Well.....technically I'm not a senior..but a boomer......except at the bank and with AARP so I'm not sure I understand your question. Someone 80 might call me a mere kid but my kids are wondering if I have my will made out and funeral arrangements made. There are some things I am experiencing and some I am paying close attention to because I know it will effect me in a few years.
I am not upset about getting old....but I do worry alot because they have changed things so quickly and I am not prepared for what lies ahead. Financially atleast for sure. I'm not retired yet, need a job but in most sectors I'm skilled in, too old to compete with the younger people and not enough time to play catch-up. So that angers me......because there doesn't seem to be much concern in allowing older people the right to live and work themselves. But for the most part....it's just another phase.....some great parts and some that won't be.....just like all the rest.

I'm 51 and I keep getting reminded I'm not a senior, just a boomer. I don't care what the label is, I'm getting older and since that's not going to change I'll enjoy it the best I can. I don't like someone treating me differently though when they find out my age, I'm still just myself. All age means is that we've been here a certain number of years, it proves nothing else.

I'm 57 years old. People with attitudes seem to not be confined to one particular age group. As far back as when I was young I met those of my particular age group in time to have an attitude. I think to you it might be more noticeable now because we are more senstive to life's issues. We might feel a greater impact and a greater need to be involved. I hope this gave some light to the subject.

You know, you touched on a truth. Labels sometimes are more irritating than helpful. Like, why should I join AARP - I'm not retired. And why should I live in a 55 and older community, I am not 55. I guess it is not bad to be called a teenager but octagenarian? Why remind me?

What are these REAL ISSUES that are age related that I need to stop ignoring? Mostly I just ignore any random aches and pains--whether they are caused by my annoying aging body or just the annoying people around me.
