on the pc version/computer version--can you have babies on the sims 2? and you know how you have to have that cusor thing where you choose where they go and you cant just move them around? (like in sims bustin out) is it like that in the sims 2 pc version? best answer 10 pts.

Yes you can have babies. Both men and women. The women can get pregnant by "woohoo" (sex) and the men can only get pregnant by alien abduction. Both go through the whole 3 day pregnancy, including morning sickness, and both will go through the labor pains when it's birthing time. And the babies will grow up through all the age levels, infant, toddler, child, teen, adult, and elder, and then they'll die.
As far as controlling them goes, they have a little green diamond above their heads (it's called a plumbob) that will show you who is selected. You can take your mouse cursor and point and click where you want them to go, and they'll go there. You have the option of playing with free will or no free will (free will lets them live on their own, no free will means you control them at all times).
As far as the pricing goes, most stores carry the base game for around $30-$40, however, if you want some of the expansion packs, they now have a Sims2 delux version that is the base game PLUS one expansion pack (I believe you can get either Nightlife or Bon Voyage), and that set will run you around the same price as just buying the base game itself. Most stores that carry computer games carry Sims2, and if you buy it at Best Buy, they'll price match if you find the game for cheaper somewhere else.

So for the Sims 2 on the PC-
1) You can have babies.
2) You do use your cursor to command actions, and you don't move them around like Bustin Out.
3) It can cost from $35 - $50, depending where you shop at. Possibly cheaper.
I suggest you get it. Its an amazing game, and do buy some expansion packs. Those expand the gameplay, and make for a really great game. My favorite in fact.

Check this site out for all your sims questions. thesims2.ea.com it has alot of stuff including info on all updates along with the entire line of expansion packs.
You can have babies in Sims2. You can even have puppies or kittens with Sims Unleashed. There is still a cursor but you just click where you want them to go and they will. The cursor helps you know their mood. Bright green all is well, when it starts to dull things aren't so peachy.
Sims Bustin Out and it are alike but yet different. Again I suggest the site for questions. You're looking at $40 for the Sims2 or Sims2 Deluxe or you can do the Christmas Edition too all for about the same.

I am an addict to that game.... Yes, u can have babies on the sims2.Yes the cursor is very important. It does the exact thing on sims bustin out. And Sims 2 costs... about $40.00 at the most....

Well, you can have kids. I don't know what you mean by the cursor... Do you mean going out to town? If that's what you mean, you must call a cab, then you can select the place you would like to go.
About 35-40 dollars.
