Harvest Moon Magical Melody?

HELP!?!?!

I just got the game, and Im playing...
BUT I HAVE NO IDEA, HOW YOU DO ANYTHING?!

So...Can anyone tell me how you...
-Use tools?
-Play?(Basically)
- Eat?
-Meet people?
-Grow stuff?

**AND OTHER MAJOR THINGS IN THE BEGINING**

Yeah, Im a beginner, and if you have any beggining helpful ideas, please tell me (anything)!!!

Are good guides for beginners. I also HIGHLY recommend reading your manual if you have it. Unfortunately I don't remember the specific keys off hand, and there is too much in Harvest Moon to easily describe.

Here are some basics:

Use the menu to equip your hoe. Find some land that us green or blue. Press the tool button (B?) to swing your hoe to create a 'fat-C' Like below:

Till X, don't till Y:

XXX

When it is tilled, equip some seeds and stand in the middle square, use the seeds to plant them. Then equip your water can and water them all. Water your plants every day until you can pick them with (A?) and throw your crops into the shipping bin outside your house. Then repeat with a new bag of seeds.

You can buy more seeds in the town store. Along with other house improvements as you earn money.

Along the way, use your ax to harvest small branches to stock up for building house improvmenst and barns.
