Obviously if someone sets out to kill someone they understand the concept of death.......

In all reality I think that if any one would purposely take another humans life they are probably too sociopath tic to give a flying rats behind* about that concept. I do also believe that some people who are genuinely sick just cannot grasp that concept. I don't think as a species or society that we can stress that concept enough but at the same time no matter how many times you tell people that killing some one is permanent some people just will not care.

On the contrary, that is why some elect to take a life, because it is permanent. Murder is never an accident. It is deliberate.
And the sadder fact is that some take pleasure in their form of murder. Please don't underestimate the wickedness if the human race. Taking a life comes in many forms and for many reason too.
Side note here. I don't ever assume that a person that commits murder is ever sick. Saying that they are sick gives them an out. Claiming to be sick is a cop-out.

all those gang members have no regard for human life. They just off people for looking at them wrong or wearing the wrong color.
