Great question.
It would depend what country it was, on what continent, with what climate, geographical features, etc.
I write sci fi, so I do a lot of naming of countries, worlds, people and more.
So my favorite single name for a country is Zom.
It's in a tropical setting, with a great river, jungles, and its capital being M'temba, a fine walled city on the River Meduma, which leads to the Great Canyon of the Meduma and then to the distant Warembe mountains to the north and east.
