If you mean positive 2 + positive 2, the answer is positive 4.
If one 2 is negative and the other is positive, the answer is 0.
If you mean negative 2 + negative 2, then answer is negative 4.

Don't we all? However, it is not meant to be. Whether by design or by a bad recipe, mankind cannot even ask this question, let alone refute it or explain by analogy the various juxtapositions that it would all entail.
However and anon, it is to be queried and the question shall always float to the surface of mankind's inhumanity to mankind and womankind and neuterkind. Yet should we even be asking this question? Who are we to ask questions? Perhaps we would all be better off if we just turned on and tuned out.

It looks like a plus sign surrounded by twos. I guess you can call it a mathematical problem that needs an answer. Just by wanting to know something will not make it happen. You will need to ask for an answer. Your statement is not a question.
