Why is the day plain? The sun is an interesting star.

No, you are not. I have seen a signifigant number of people who do not seem to want to read through something before taking issue with it. I think it stems from the fact that they want a quick, short answers and sometimes to explain something you need to go a bit long with it. So, while the answer might be simple and plain as day the volume of text to back it up causes their eyes to glaze over before they get to it and the point is lost.

People might be in a rush. Everyone gets some answers that don't answer the question, it's no big deal. Try posting the question either in another suitable section, or try posting it again in the week, when people are ready to pay attention!

No, that has happened with a couple of my questions. They either missed the point, or I just didn't explain things clearly enough. Communication can be difficult at times.

I hate those types of answers. Often, it seems that the more I try to spell things out for potential answerers, the more blatantly a lot of them use my question as a place to blindly rant.

Yes, it's been a pretty plain day here. Work has been uneventful and I have nothing planned for tonight.

perhaps you need to explain clearly for OTHER people, not yourself. We shouldn't have to read everything.

work on the 'dumbest person theory' , like they do when writing out instructions for items bought at shops.
Read one and you will know what i mean......assume all are dumb and try explaining it to them and then most people will understand what your getting at.
