When you have a date, how soon do you know that you will be intimate?

I can tell by the end of the first date if intimacy may be part of future dates

Sometimes, the first date can be strange, but we may give it another try and things turn out suprisingly well in the next few dates, so I can't always say if we will become intimate or not, time tells.
Each person is an individual, and the experience with each is different. I don't have a schedule planned as to by what date or time we should become intimate, I think that it should be natural and will happen when both of us feel comfortable enough to take it up a notch.
