Why couldn't the person who gave my answerer a thumb-down leave a "better" answer? I have another question to ask in conjunction to this one, and I'd really like as many answers as I can get.

QFT treats photons, and all elementary particles, as pointlike in their interactions.

We probably don't know the answer. There might not even be an answer. You'd need to get rather deep into quantum mechanics for the question to even make sense.

Technically, they're massless, so I suppose they really don't. It also acts as both a particle and a wave, so who know what it really is.
