I've got Earthlink from BrightHouse in Florida. It's rated at around 6,000-7,000 kbps, but I only get about 3,000 kbps. They can't seem to fix it. Any ideas?

The way cable Internet works is you share the line with all of the other people that are on your trunk. You'd have to get your neighbors to use the Internet less to get your speed improved. Unfortunately this is one the downsides to having cable Internet.
