Our two choices will not fix anything. What do you believe?

The Republicans will not fix abortion... Because,, then why would anyone vote for them. Democrats will not fix education.. then why would anyone vote for them.. The 2 parties leave us bickering about small meaningless stuff that they don't care about. The big decisions are made without our vote. Like going to war. The small stuff doesn't effect their bottom line.. Where the money goes. What do you think?

Both parties have become one and the same. It's not about the American people anymore, it's about protecting and growing the government. If they were concerned about us, then they would have the same health care and SS benefits as we do.

The real problem is the failure of the general people to realize, that , they live under the rule of a limited dictatorship.
This country is far from a democracy or a republic which some people will argue we are.
When you have only a two party system, and one party by sheer numbers will be in power, then during that time (like now) you are under a republican dictatorship. Previously you were under a Democrat controlled dictatorship.
Up until and including now because the stints are about equal in time, there is no incentive for one to topple the other.
The only saving grace available to the general public is or would be term limits, preferably one term and your out.
This would insure you would not create false dynasties such as you have now. ala possible 20 years of power from two families.
Yet the people of this country are willing to accept what there is as long as they have the material goods where they can amuse themselves away into the doldrums.
Some of the antics politically driven which occur int this country if taken place in some other countries would result most likely in national strikes or votes of no confidence.
Here we are content with the cell phone appendages hanging from our ears, playing a mythical stock market, and lulled away by the music of our times.

I think the goverment stinks in situations like this. The bottom line as you said they make the big decisions without us and make us think the little decisions are made by us when in reality they call the shots all along. The only time when people get their way is when they stick together and fight for what they want and let their voice be heard.

you are right. we have a corrupted gov. they care about one thing, MONEY! our country is full of homeless people and our volunteers, soldiers and all of these christian groups are building city's in other countries. Abortion, I don't care for but this is America and it should be a woman's decision, education should be equal to all American Citizens, I live near the U.S., Mexico border and if someone doesn't know just as much spanish as they do english they might as well move out of town because you will get a job anywhere. Americans and english should be first. And no I am not racist, I am Hispanic myself but I am a proud American.

Revamp the whole thing! One vote for one person, for real, no "Electoral College" A true government of the people, by the people; and for the people.

If I could vote in your elections, I would vote for Dennis Kucinich. But then, he would need a very progressive, unselfish and courageous House and Senate to get US out of the mess it is in.
