i believe it does, good, bad, or otherwise :) but I do not think there is some ultimate plan that everything has to happen to that plan, i think while you live the plan gets rearranged and tweaked. Also I do not think we always will find out why certain things happen until much later. hope this answers your question :)

Don't we wish?

If negative events happened for a reason, that would alleviate burdens because burdens stem from the meaninglessness of suffering. Meaningless suffering will suck the life out of a person more drastically than meaningful suffering.

Good things happening for a reason is a reason to celebrate.

The answer is, not everything happens for a reason. If we don't know the reason, there was no reason practically speaking that affected our lives one way or another. If everything happened for a reason, it subtracts chance and coincidences. Reality contains both reason and chance. Throw a dice. It lands on a 6. Does there have to be a reason for that? Throw a rock purposelessly and it lands in the pond. It's purposeless; there is no reason. Throw a rock purposefully and hit someone to harm or hurt them. That happened for a (bad) reason. Help a friend or person in need...now that's a (good) reason.

And that is how life goes most of the time... When it's purposefully done, there was a reason. Purposeless actions and events occur too.

Nothing happens for a reason, though everything that happens does have a "cause". Reason is an entirely subjective measure...

No. Some things that happen just suck. But there is some value to be had in everything that does happen. It can take a long time to see or understand- but it is there.

Yes, I believe there is a reason, cause and effect for everything. Taking responsibility is sometimes lacking. I do believe what comes around, does go around. And what you put forward, you will get back.

Does "reason" happen for everything?

Everything has a cause... therefore everything eventually has a purpose... but a reason? It depends on what definition of reason you are using, I suppose. :)

Only if you attach some worth to it mentally. Life is nothing more than a string of random events or events set in motion by your or other's actions.

Yes. Everything is linked together. Some are more important than others, but yet, they are are all linked together.
