For some reason I couldn't get sound. However, since the picture is of Bush, did he say that? Nothing about Bush would surprise me he is such a warmonger and liar.
However, America is very uptight about terrorists, and any remarks made by reporters are usually their person opinion.
Once again, we cannot put a whole country in a box and say this is what THEY said they would do.
Don't take everything you hear in the media as the truth.
Haven't you learned that now. Things are said to sell products and up rating.. The American people are now beginning to realize that their country has real trouble, and they themselves will force a change next year. England and America have always worked together and remained close allies. Don't start thinking that because one man said something, all Americans think the same thing.

over six minutes of intelligent debate and you find a bone to pick over a nothing that lasted two seconds?
What was spoken was trite in the face of the interview. It was a sarcastic remark true...but it is not something to be taken seriously. Anyone in their right mind knows for a fact that it will never happen and anyone listening to the whole of the interview would see the analogy drawn in the statement.
It wasn't meant to be funny and the laughter seemed more like a nervous reaction to anything coming close to happiness or joy in the idea of an invasion of England.
You've taken the whole thing out of context.

They might - but then they might be late again as in the 1914-18 war and the 1939-45 World Wars.
You have been watching "unbiased, fair and balanced" Fox News again!!!

i think it is funny
i spend many weeks in US every year so if we became part of US i could save my money on flights and 'live' there.....
the US is being 'invaded' at the moment by Brits - shopping for Christmas, taking advantage of the exchange rate.........
in fact, I'm invading there next week myself..........reclaiming the old country (if only for a few days) ...........
EDIT
are you completely mad?
you said he was smiling - IT WAS A JOKE - do you know what a joke is?
As for being a Brit..........I am English with a British passport, born and bred in England.....with three English children born and bred in England....
We speak English (not British) so please don't preach to me about my nationality and heritage....
I can take a joke......as for being invaded.....the Americans would be more welcome than other groups that have done this in the past.....
