A nurse at my job (while on break) commented that she doesn't know how some nurses are never busy. They have time to read magazines and our done with their charting hours before the shift ends, while she hasn't even had time to pass out her meds.
I also noticed that some CNAs have time to sit around, while some don't. I also worked in retail, and I was always busy, while some are never busy.
Are some people not productive enough? What are they doing that is so efficient that they have all this free time on their hands?

I don't know exactly what their contributions at work are, I have no idea why they have so much free time. This question caught my attention because I recently quit my job of 3 yrs.+ because I was sick and tired of doing the work of a few others while they did anything but work.. There is so much unfairness in the work places that should be addressed (seriously) but it is viewed as whining if you speak up..

I work with this woman who has all the time in the world, while everyone else is rushing around trying to get the jobs done
She is gifted at making herself look like she's actually doing something, and nothing, but nothing, ever gets this woman into high gear
I kind of envy her restraint

some people just do the minimum amount of work not to get fired. I have found this in many jobs that I have had. I don't understand it either. But I don't think you will ever run down that mystery (to paraphrase Tom Petty)

I know what you mean. You have different types of people and personalities, so you have people working at their own pace. There's some who don't take pride in their work, some who are lazy and some who just don't care.

some people have exceptionally good oraganizational skills and can simply get things done more efficiently. Other people are just lazy and are not doing what they should be doing.
Concentrate on what YOU should be doing , and you'll be fine.

People are human. If you think people should be just employed robots then that is sad. Work is never that important.
