You can multiply or divide all sections of the ratio by the same number. For example: 1/5 : 2/3 : 2/15

Multiply each by 15:

3 : 10 : 2

If you want one section to be 1, then just divide all three by 3, 10, or 2.

Note: if you are not familiar with multiplying fractions:

1/5 * 15 = 15/5 = 3
2/3 * 15 = (2*15)/3 = 30/3 = 10
2/15 * 15 = 30/15 = 2 (you can also just cancel 15 top and bottom leaving 2)

1) Find the common denomimator

2) Divide top and bottom by common denominator.

3) Check your work by multiplying back out.

example: 15/30 = (15/15) * (1/2)
