As a follow up:

Would you support a politician if his policy position included the criminalization of abortion but also mandates a 15% mandatory increase in federal taxation to support state-run orphanges/academies.

Foster care programs, overidden with abuse as they are, would be ended and the state would take direct control. For orphans or the children of convicted criminals, this would be the first alternative.

Curriculum would include academic courses of study and vocational/technical courses of study. For interested applicants, paramilitary training could also be integrated into their education for law-enforcement/military career aspirations (e.g the Boy Scouts, Eagle Scouts etc).

Would you support that?

"I've never heard of something so authoritarian. You might as well make them into slaves."

This is authoritarian but forcing women to bear children that they do not want to bear isn't?

The vast majority of incarcerated criminals come from low-income homes with non-existant family structures. Being imprisoned for crimes "duly convicted" is the exception to the 13th Amendment's prohibition against slavery, the exact text of which is:

"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime where of the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

So then, we already enslave them...don't you support politicians who promise to be "tough on crime?" What do you think about "Three Strikes" laws?

The model for this hypothetical politician was Adolf Hitler.

The hypothetical program was a loose description of the Nazi War-orphan's program which eventually became incorporated into the larger Hitler Youth program.

Hell no! That sounds like something out of the Lyndon LaRouche mailbag. I've never heard of something so authoritarian. You might as well make them into slaves.

Why not just allow people to adopt the kids?

I would report first answer for violation but, I like looking at how stupid of a statement that is. Way to raise the bar. I'm sure that Hilter and Eva would definitely agree with you. You can probably make a good case for an honorary doctorate from the KKK as well. Congratulations on seeing life as you do.

I think there are alternative approaches but, this isn't a terrible idea.

True conservitives are for less government not more.

The courts have ruled that abortion is legal. I can live with that although I do not personally approve of abortion.

I would support making adoption less difficult and having private organizations taking care of pregnant women, providing shelter, food , medical help, education etc if they chose to have their baby or allow the baby to be adopted rather than aborted.

15% increase? I'm all for expanding foster care programs but a 15% increase would be WAY over doing it.

Not that I wouldn't put it past Democrats to tie a 15% increase to spending it "for the children."

Come back to me with some more realistic numbers and I'll get back to you. Also, there would be no reason for the government to pay for their education past what public education provides. At 18 they would be adults and must be responsible for themselves.

No. I'm against tax increases to fund social programs; strongly support parental rights ('the state' should not be raising children, period) - and I'm pro-death, anyway.

No. I would support severe restrictions on third trimester abortions. But anything that doesn't have a medical exception is a loser for me.

I would pay higher taxes to support the sterilization of the moron class in this country that need abortions in the first place.

You know what you get when you choose conservatives. With a liberal, they flip flop so much, who knows where they stand on any issue.
