I wanna apply for this company, but I am overwhelmed ?

i think i am getting anxious , since i need to find a job
and i have couple of companies in mind..
But the thought of customizing my cover letter and sending it to them through email just gives me a panic attack . I don' t know why ??
then later when I do make up my mind to do this , i lose interest in the company all together and make up a lame excuse and NOT DO IT!!
What is wrong with me. Am i crazy??
i need a job ( that's the bottom line )

sometimes i think , these jobs are posted right there on the internet . ( and i know I have a good resume and a good cover letter) but I feel like there must be 100's of people who is applying for the same position and what are the chances for me to get an interview !

It sounds more the fear of not getting the job, think about what it will mean if you get the job, look at it from a positive point of view. Turn it in and think positively that you are getting the job, this will give you confidence. And it will help you to apply and do away with the anxiety, after all, from your point of view if you all have the job then putting in the paperwork will be nothing really. Good luck!!

You are lacking in confidence. Just make yourself put the resume in as those other 100 people have only one thing that you don't and that is confidence.

I also really want a job outside of our own business as I would like something of my own, but lack confidence. I find it frustrating to see people I know who's ability is less than mine in all sorts of positions,doing jobs I know I would do well at. What they have that I don't have is confidence and the ability to put themselves forward.

Nothing ventured nothing gained. You may have to put your resume at many places but it will be worth it.
