What sort of cable do i use to hook my ipod up to the cassette player in my car? Where would i get one?

Is it just a regular line-in cable? If it is, then where in the cassette player do i plug it into? Do you need a special kind of cassette player to do this? About how expensive would and this kind of cable be and would it be cheaper just to get on of those iPod docking stations for the car?

There are two ways: 1) Use an FM transmitter

2) Use a cassette adapter

In my experience, the cassette adapter is the better option, as the radio transmitter has to be reprogrammed each time you come into an area with a station on a frequency that is close to the transmitter's frequency.

You can buy a gizmo that has an ipod jack, a length of cable, and what looks like an audio cassette on the other. You plug your ipod into the cable (where the earphones go) and stick the cassette shaped gadget in the cassette player.

Alternatively, if your cassette player is also a fm radio, you can get a miniature transmitter that plugs into the ipod phones socket and sends the music wirelessly to your radio. Maplins, Comet, Currys, ebay.

General at Walmart for about $20 you can pick up a casette adapter for your car stereo. Its basically just going to look like a tape you would put in your cassette player but it will have a cable to connect to your Ipod.
