Ok, so i really like modern fiction. The Corrections by Franzen is one of my favorites. Infinite Jest by Wallace, anything by Dave Eggers. But i also wanna expand my horizons a bit. Any ideas?

Some books I've liked are 'The Human Stain' by Roth and (a bit older) 'A Confederacy of Dunces' by O'Toole. I personally like historical novels, such as 'An Instance of the Fingerpost' by Pears or 'The Crimson Petal and the White" by Faber. Or you could expand your horizons even farther with the brilliant historical fantasy, "Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell" by Clarke.

If you like suspense, Sandra brown is a good author to check out. I just finished her latest book "Ricochet" . I couldnt put it down, it was amazing. If you like drama type books, one of my favorites is "I know this much is true" By Wally Lamb. It's about 40 something year old twins, one is a paranoid schizophrenic. If you like 'classic' books, the grapes of wrath by John Steinbeck is a great book. It takes place in the depression era, when people had to move to find jobs. It starts off really slow, but after you get past the first chapter, it gets good.

--Maybe because it's a pitiful question. I wouldnt have answered if I had known you were gonna be such a jackass about it.

Try some classics for a change..they're not bad either.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte is a good one.

Also the old man and the sea is an amazing book.
