Those are good choices! I love also the Marx Brothers comedies and 30s 'screwball' comedies like Bringing Up Baby. Almost anything with Humphrey Bogart or Cary Grant. Some of Hitchcock's films--I just saw North by Northwest a few days ago and remembered how much I loved that film.
A lot of the old films I love are not really very good films, they are 'guilty pleasures', and I can't get anyone to watch them with me but I love them anyway. The 'buddy' films of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby are in this category. And the goofy comedies of Red Skelton like Fuller Brush Man and Yellow Cab Man. And once in a while even Abbot and Costello.

Ahhhh me too. The Wizard of Oz is my absolute favorite. When I was little I lost someone I truly loved in my family and that movie was the only thing that would actully make me happy or cheerful. Christmas movies I would have to say the original Santa Claus and Jingle All the Way.

I watched over 100's of movies a year and one that stands out most will have to be Tuck Everlasting. It's a great movie.

Glory, I don't know if the movie exactly makes me smile tho it makes me think about life and how it was like in the old days and how messed up it was and how much it has changed.
