2001 rodeo idle/emmision problem?

Daughter in law has a 2001 rodeo and it stalls from time to time usually sitting still or stopping. The idle seems to fluctuate a little but not much. (almost seems normal to me but dips lower han i like some) The parts store said 1 o2 sensor and that did nothing. Took to the shop and they said another that did nothing but the check engine light went off. I looked at two of the plugs o see if they were dirty but looked in very good shape. The motor runs good otherwise and maintenance has been kept up. Any ideas? There are no leaks and the suv is kept very clean. all the wiring and vacuum hoses i find look good. the check engine light is not on.

These engines are notorious for intake manifold air leak, not a difficult job, please have this checked, I think you will find me correct, many times techs miss this.

that is the intake manifold gasket i am referring to, you probably had a code p0174 or other lean codes in your pcm, they will return, you just may have not driven far enough to fail the on board test yet.
