I object to the how to vote pamphlets. We are supposed to be saving trees and cutting down on paper waste. If you don't know who you will vote for on the day the pamphlets are just more rubbish.

There is no compulsion or legal obligation to take or use either party's election material, I personally say "No Offence, but I prefer to not waste trees!" and walk through without accepting their propaganda. The people handing the material out cannot object and if enough people do this every election, eventually they might get the idea! DOH!!!!!!

We have them because the parties think that people are so dumb that they need to be told how they should vote rather than get informed and make up their own mind.

I was walking through the gauntlet of sprukers on Saturday wearing my "your rights at work worth voting for" tshirt and one of the liberal was either dumb enough or arrogant enough to try to get me to take one of their how to vote cards, luckily I had a Howard con-man sticker to give to her. But like one of the others said if most people could be bothered to get informed and refuse the how to vote cards they would soon stop try to make us take them.

Campaign materials are really wastes of trees that the politicians should stop using in order to save the environment.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

I agree, but you forgot about the liberal voters who claim confusion on the ballots caused Al Gore to lose.
