Yes I do.
If you researched his history and didn't just listen to propaganda, you would find that Al Gore has dedicated his entire adult life to being an environmentalist. He was pro-E before being pro-E was cool.

It appears that most answers to your question are racially or politically biased. Al Gore, regardless of his politics, has made a significant contribution to creating awareness of a global problem of mammoth proportions. Global warming is a serious threat to our world, and something that will be of enormous impact on our grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gore's actions have created awareness and pushed people into action. For that I applaud him and believe he deserved a Nobel Peace prize. The award could not have been bestowed upon a better person.
I would feel the same way if Gore were Republican, Jewish, black or homosexual. His personal perspectives should not in any way overshadow the magnitude of his performance. As for those ostriches with their heads stuck in the sand, all I can say is, "How will you answer your beautiful little great-grand daughter when she climbs up on your lap and asks why you didn't do something to stop global warming?"
She'll be wearing a gas mask to breathe fresh air; and she won't have enough clean water to drink. But she'll still ask. How will you answer her? "Well, Honey, I didn't do anything about global warming because I knew more than the scientific community. Besides, I thought Al Gore was an idiot, and I sure as hell wasn't going to agree with him on anything, political or non-political. And after all, Al Gore had this big huge mansion that used more energy than my house did, and he flew around in private jets that gulped up more gas than my Hummer. So it's not my fault you're living in this world with horrendous hurricanes, flooding of our coasts and the complete destruction of our oceans and millions of species of plants and animals. It's not my fault, Sweetheart...it's Al Gore's!" -RKO- 11/24/07

Well, even though I am a democrat, and he opened our eyes to the seriousness of global warming, I thought the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to people promoting peace. Martin Luther King deserved it, Mother Teresa deserved it. It would be as cruel to award Al Gore as it would Madonna, or Angelina Jolie.

No. i think of climate replace is important, and the human race is the rationalization that there is the dramatic cost of climate replace that we are seeing now (climate replace has on no account occured this immediately previously, different than as quickly as, if certainly a meterorite hit the earth and killed the dinosaurs). Al Gore did the perfect suited element by potential of being between the various human beings to advance information of climate replace, and extra imporantly, the rapid upward thrust in temperatures that has on no account occurred previously. yet, he has executed no longer something related to peace. And for that, i do no longer think of he merits the Nobel PEACE prize.

What a joke. Of course he did not deserve it. Have you ever seen the type of cars him and his wife drive?? He is a phony and deserves nothing!!
Who deserved it, I have no clue. Maybe someone who is not rich and famous. Someone who always gives, but does so without being in the spotlight. That works for me.

A nobel peace prize awarded to a fear monger. It would seem the award has lost its meaning.

He is bringing attention to the world how little America is doing to save the planet. This point seems to offend some.
