Don't tell me that after all these years there are still people who hate another country, because of the past.
I am so surprised that this question comes from Scotland.,
Haven't you got anything better to do that dredge up the past and live with hate in your heart for people that probably love Scotland with all its beauty and history.
Stop hating and start living. Bringing a more positive thought process to the world is what we need, not more ridiculous reasons to hate. There are so much more disastrous actions happening over the world. Do you put money into your hate factor? Why don't you send money to the starving children of the world, or the homeless people of your own country.
I live in Canada and was so surprised that you popped up out of nowhere. Nobody is not asking you NOT to be proud of Scotland, there is much to be proud of. However, your energy could be put to use in a much more positive way., to help the world heal.

Mushy peas and the way everything is boiled with a fire that reaches from the cooker to the ceiling. I hated the constant cold because those radiators never really put out enough heat.
Other than that... I really liked my time living in England

I don't hate England, I love my country and I'm very proud to be English but some things do my head like the price of fags and petrol.

Nothing. I can't carry grudges for things done before I was born by people who are long dead.
It's a country with it's own agenda, just like every other country. They've been decent allies and friends to the US, sometimes more so than we may have deserved.
