after i start it the first time, it fires right over, everytime.no pumping at all. i have a new battery,alternator and voltage reg. checks out fine.and it runs so quiet you can barely hear it run with no hesitation upon excelleration..... help !

That sounds like the pump in the carb. Before trying to start it in the morning, remove the breather and looking down into the carb throat forcefully open the throttle wide open. If everything is working right you should see a strong stream of gas into each venturi. If it doesn't have a strong stream all the way through the throttle levers travel then the acceleration pump probably has a bad skirt. The pump is there to provide a big jolt of fuel to start with and to provide a big jolt of fuel when you suddenly throw the throttle wide open while driving.

Change fuel filter.

sounds like the choke is not working to me.
