Okay well basically.. I'm going out tomorrow somewhere and i really want to look not over the top.. just casual but different from my normal self so not just put on some make up.. straighten my hair and then off i go. I want to really look good. Any ideas for how i can make myself look that extra bit nicer and put in that extra bit of effort?

Wear clothing that compliments you.

Color wise - make it go nicely with your eyes, or hair, or skin tone.

Don't try to make it too tight - no one likes that. Not too revealing either - that's what we call 'over the top.'

Use jewelry to play up your best features. Like your waist? Wear a pretty belt. Cleavage? A simple necklace. [Just don't let it all spill out - that's the over the top you don't want.]

As for your hair - don't straighten it! Flat hair doesn't look pretty - it just looks really superficial. I'm assuming you have wavy-ish hair...? Try to blow dry it and play with the waves - natural looks a lot prettier than super straight.

And, makeup wise, maybe a little lip gloss and eyeliner... but nothing more.

So, keep with NATURAL beautify. And honestly, smile a lot. That's what makes things really pretty.

This is a difficult question to answer as I don't know what your 'normal self' would look like and I don't know if you are male or female. (some men do wear makeup). I suppose if you don't want to look like your normal self, then maybe dress and wear hair opposite from how you normally would dress, wear hair. If you are a woman, I would try dressing chic, but very modestly, nothing revealing. In a world where skin shows all over the place I think a high lacy neck and long sleeves with maybe lace at the cuffs would cause a lot of people to look at you, both men and women, and quite favourably at that.

it would help with a picture but here are my ideas:
*take a eyeshadow the color of your eyes and put in were you would put eye linner on both lids.
*take a blue purple brown or any dark color and sweep over it (not to much shadow on brush, just a dab)
* take a shimmery white or silver and sweep all around your eyes and go over your eyebrows to make them shine 2
*get a lipstick and take your finger and dab it on your lips then take a lipgloss to make your lips shine
*take a light blush and go up your cheeks into your hairline
*if you have blemishes take some foundation on a Q-tip or something and just go around that area were you have zits/pimples moles or w/e
*were some nice clothing to match your makeup so if you have blue eyes wear a dark blue shirt or brown eyes a brown shirt
*you cant go wrong with a just above the knee skirt or some jeans
* straighten your hair but then take some hair conditioner that you dont need to wash out and do curls with your finger
* were some cute high heal shoes
* wear a nice necklace and maybe a couple bracelets
good luck and hope u look faboulous!~

Do something stylish with your hair, tease, add body, and maybe put it up a little bit. Wear "night time" make-up, like darker colors, maybe some sort of black dress with a little bit of sparkle stuff in it so it stands out. like sparkle sequins. Dont wear too high off heels though unless your like 5"1. Looks kinda tacky. Hope this helps!

I think you should pin your hair up if that is out of the ordinary for you and wear your makeup a bit different than normal. maybe if you have the extra money even go to the salon and get your hair cut and done there. have fun and be safe :)

nice slacks, put some $1.50 sponge polish on your shoes, nice outer jacket and nice blouse, good perfume (not over the top), lip gloss, light make-up, and you're in business

if you fell smart and comfortable in what you wear,it don't matter what you wear if your comfortable then you will shine and be confident and that is what will be noticed first
