It is an interesting dichotomy among US voters.
Many say they want change, yet they often vote in the obvious "more of the same" candidates.
Dems say they want out of Iraq. Yet the greatest Dem proponent of the Iraq war is Hillary Clinton.
Repubs say they want fiscal restraint and family values in a president. Yet they elect and/or support the biggest spenders and multi-divorced candidates the party has to offer.
If people actually voted their conscience versus the party machine's choice for front runner, I think the USA would be much better for it.
Therefore, I have no idea as to whom the anti-war supporters will support in the end.

properly, tremendously given the information in the present day that Iraq might like an eternal U.S. armed forces presence of fifty,000 or so - very resembling we've in South Korea, that is probably that in spite of who's elected president that we are going to nonetheless have troops there in 20 years. even however, considering troops would desire to be stationed someplace, the conflict would desire to nonetheless end, technically and our infantrymen would desire to basically stay there, which isn't the ideal answer interior the international the two using fact it ENRAGES Islamist militants to have infidels tenting on their doorstep. yet, of all the applicants working, i'm guessing Ron Paul is the only guy or woman who might certainly eliminate all troops from Iraq. Any of the others, including Obama and Clinton might draw down troops yet circulate alongside with the everlasting presence element.

The thing is, 'now' is a lot different from 'election time.'
If the elections were held today, then I'd say Democrat.
But IF (remember 'IF') the Iraq situation continues to improve militarily, and eventually, politically, BEFORE 'election time,' you'll be hearing a whole new tune from the Democrats, and the Republicans will not let them back down from their previous statements. That could mean a Republican could win. IF the Iraq situation continues to improve; which, it is.
Now, I think it's silly to vote for someone based on only one topic, but that's moot.

Actually, according to Rasmussen poll dated only 4 days ago, its 63%, so there's a number of people here that need to update their numbers.
And they'll vote for whoever is nominated after primaries who wants to get the troops out, be it Obama, Kucinich, Paul, or if one of the Republicans changes their stripes to actually care what the American people are saying.

Your poll numbers are old. The correct numbers are about 50%.
The candidates supporting "troops out now" are Kucinich, Paul, Edwards
ALL the other candidates say the troops will leave in a few years. These include Clinton, Obama, Richardson, Dodd, Biden.
The Republicans, except Paul, say US troops stay until victory.

Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich. If not, they are not true to their party, they are true to the media, or they use other pet issues to determine their vote.
