i'm a musician myself. playing great music from multiple non secular traditions make experience to me. i think of that that's useful to argue that the "Hallelujah refrain", from Beethoven's 9th symphony, is such great music that to be a musician you're able to be open to experiencing it. i'm a Catholic, yet I performed the violin with an orchestra backed with the help of the community Jewish community midsection for some years. We did carry out music that replaced into composed with the help of Christians or used for Christina centers, and we additionally performed multiple music that replaced into not. This made suitable experience to me, the different contributors and the objective marketplace. i'm shocked that a public college is featuring in user-friendly terms Christian music for a wintry climate trip stay overall performance. it somewhat is possibly not legal, even nonetheless it could be tolerated consistent with the place you reside. Is there all people else you are able to confer with approximately this? the college important may well be a reliable start up. Be respectful, and ask for permission on non secular grounds. additionally ask respectfully if a broader selection of music from different cultures may well be secure in destiny performances. in spite of the undeniable fact that, in case you have chosen to tend a non secular college then you definately do not likely have a reliable case.

I listen to all christmas music just like anyone else.
Being Liberal and Christian is not mutually exclusive.
And I could care less if you say "happy holidays' or "merry christmas"
Why would i?
If you want to BS about the "war on christmas", if you look, its conservatives that are freaking out about it. No liberal figureheads really care. Its O'Reilly and Beck who have to make it an issue every single night starting with Thanksgiving. Why don't you ask them?

I was just talking about this with some of my co-workers yesterday.
The one's I really love are, "O Little Town of Bethlehem", " It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" and "Silver Bells".
And yes, I'm a liberal, a believer and very fond of the Christian traditions associated with Christmas.

I think they play the song that has something to do with no christmas lights, can't wear a sweater with santa on it to school, bowing to the ACLU, no maingers in public squares or christmas trees and under no circumstances are you allowed to say merry christmas. I don't know the name of this song, but I'm sure a liberal could tell us.

My grandma used to takes us to a methodist church and we sang all of them.
[edit] These conservative answers are funny. It is as if the are pretending to know what we do, listen to, or any of that. :)
BTW, my favorite is the one with "Do you see what I see". I forgot the name.
