Must be because they hate conservatism, and everything the US stands for.. liberty, defending the country, defending the unborn, allowing the people to make their own choices, free market, capitalism. they rather have everything dictated to them on how to live their life and not have to work for it.

CONSERVATISM: "A political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, stressing established institutions and preferring gradual development to abrupt change."*
LIBERALISM: "A political philosophy based on belief in progress, the essential goodness of man, and the autonomy of the individual and standing for the protection of political and civil liberties."*

I don't know a conservative who doesn't believe in the essential goodness of man; nor do I know a liberal who doens't want social stability.

It amazes me how many people attach artificial labels to themselves without even understanding the true definitions of the political dogma they profess! Instead, they make arbitrary judgments ("libs call you a troll....hate conservatism and everything the U.S. stands for...."), or resort to childish name-calling, juvenile jabberwocky, mean-spirited hate and bias, or pure and simple bigotry.

Just because Al Franken spouts forth with some liberal nonsense doesn't mean all "libs" are brainwashed to follow his lead. Just because Rush Limbaugh spews out his daily barrage of blather doesn't mean that all "cons" are brainless 'ditto heads'.

If one bothers to consider the true definitions, one might find a lot more common ground than one might wish to contend. There seems to be a little bit of both political persuasions in most of us. So why can't we invest our energies into fighting the real enemy: a monopolistic, corrupt two-party political system that pits "cons" against "libs" and purely serves its own interests of dividing this great nation?

Instead of irrationally defending the fanatics of Franken or the Hitler-esque rantings of Rush, why don't we all try to unify this country into the melting pot of races, cultures, religions, political theories, sexual persuasions, and ideas that it truly - and boldly - stands for??

Perhaps you believe that aborting an unborn child is a moral indignity and heinous crime (I do). Perhaps you believe that sending U.S. troops into another sovereign nation to kill 675,000 Iraqis and 3,900 soldiers is a moral travesty and appalling international violation of human rights (I do).

Perhaps you want to defend the unborn (I do). Perhaps you believe people should be allowed to make their own choices [including a choice to abort?] (I do).

Perhaps you believe in the free market and capitalism (I do). Perhaps you believe that others have "everything dictated to them on how to live their life and not have to work for it" [I don't]. Perhaps you believe it's acceptable for a corporate CEO to earn 600-800 times what he pays his average employee [I don't]. Perhaps you believe it's acceptable to let the top 300,000 wage earners in this nation collectively earn more than the bottom 150 million wage earners [I don't, but I still believe in the free market and capitalism].

I am on this forum everyday because I am unable to work due to serious health problems [which, by the way, does not imply that I receive any government assistance, hand-outs, or disability checks. I don't. However, the five-billion-dollar-a-year corporation I used to work for still gets its corporate welfare, courtesy of the IRS tax deductions, government hand-outs, bail-outs, grants and special tax abatements from local municipal governments].

So not all 'libs' are name-callers and not all 'cons' are so staunchly opinionated as you might seem to believe. It's still a free country where we're allowed to express our views, criticize our government without fear of incarceration [at least so far], and participate in political discussion with those who oppose our perspectives.

That's what makes America great. Unfortunately, because of the "lib-con" hatred, further poisoned by the hate-mongers on talk radio and TV, America is quickly beginning its decline into self-destruction, brought on by an amoral society, corrupt political leadership, and a lack of community among the citizenry. -RKO- 11/24/07

Voicing an opinion is just fine but when it's worded in a way that is insulting and intended to incite anger from others, then it is trolling. Read the Community Guidelines.

Gee, Indy. Maybe it's because, after looking through your answers, I couldn't find anything original. Nothing offensive enough to report, but not an ounce of analysis, or a gram of thought either. Just a bunch of slogans you picked up from Rush Limbaugh.

I can remember when Conservatives were INTELLIGENT. Those days seem to be gone.

And, as far as Liberals hating America. It's not Liberals who ship our jobs overseas, sell our ports to foreign governments, spend our tax dollars like there's no tomorrow, and give away our Sovereignity in return for trade agreements that let them import defective slave made goods and poisoned food from countries that block our imports. Not to mention tearing down the Constitution and the Rule of Law.

I don't mind so much mind you Cons waving the flag, and wearing your made in China flag pins as a substitute for Patriotism. But, I'd rather see Old Glory burned than watch you Cons wipe your butts on it as you sell our Great Nation down the river.

There are trolls on both sides of the aisle. I would take exception to some of your other comments but, you seem to be trolling in your own way and, nothing I could say would make you see the light.

Remember Hitler used intimidation tactics and crushed decent by not allowing others to speak their minds on any topics he didnt agree with. Hitler would be a Deomocrat if he were born in this country. No doubt about it.
Facism, Socialism, Deomocrat... how can you tell them apart?
Libs call Cons names because they have no substative counter arguements on any political topic that people will agree with them in vast numbers on. So, trying to crush decent, as Hitler did, is the ONLY way they can try to convince anyone they are right about anything!
Why do you think Anti war movies are bombing left and right at the box office?
They only THINK their opinions are in the majority.
And despise everything America stands for... and always will.

Not all do, I do not know why some say that.
do you live under a bridge?

It is funny that you praise liberty, and condemn liberals.

liberal:
Favorable to or in accord with concepts of maximum individual freedom possible.
Favoring or permitting freedom of action, esp. with respect to matters of personal belief or expression

liberty:
Freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions, etc.; power or right of doing, thinking, speaking, etc., according to choice.

Eerily similar huh?

For the same reasons that the Cons do. Except the cons are less tolerant due to their totalitarian tendencies and religious fanaticism

It's easier to call you a name than to actually respond. Libs don't like 'difficult' things. They like to cut and run when the going gets tough.
