If people out there think that Hillary Clinton is the answer to national health care I ask you to consider this. There is currently a 4.4 BILLION dollar scam with Medicare/Medicade in the state of New York. The state that she represents. She has done nothing to resolve this. She will not provide a national health care system that will run with cadence. The government is not responsible for a national health care system. What they are responsible for is ensuring that companies offer affordable health care for every American. People that want a national health care system need to think about this. We need to push our governement to make companies provide affordable health care. The government is incapable of running a national health care system.

you'll get a lot of answers from people like "rizinout" who rarely step back and look at their own words. The govt does an excellent job of running the post office (41 cents to have something personally delivered as much as several thousand miles away.) Try putting mail delivery in the hands of private enterprise-wouldn't be long before we have delivery 3 days per week; one day per week if you live in a remote area.

And as long as our health care system is run by the profit motive, the working poor and middle class will struggle to buy insurance and those with pre-existing conditions can just forget about it.

I believe there should be a choice of National Healthcare and Private Insurance...Those who use the universal healthcare would pay a bit more in taxes for the service...that seems fair to those who choose not to receive it's benefits by paying for
private healthcare instead.

Pros: we affirm our belief that healthcare is a universal human right, thus taking our place among every other industrially advanced nation on earth.

Pros: we get a more stable society (with healthcare, people will be less desperate, and fewer desperate people means lower rates of violent crime)

Cons: higher taxes

biggest con is the government will run it. The government can't run a post office very well, what makes people think they can run health care? We have the best health care system in the world. Why not fine tune it instead of destroying it?

EDIT: If it is so great, the post office, why do we have FedEX UPS, DHL and others?
