I respect your choice and it is an interesting line up.... but... I keep saying this.... that England needs new blood... younger blood. The players you have lined up have proved over and over again to be NO GOOD ! The sooner we start believing this the sooner we can get on with preparing a super team.
In the WC2006 against Portugal they could not score penalties. Not the first time also against Portugal. They cannot win penalty shootouts because they cannot score.. The problem with England is not a managerial problem... It is a player problem. No matter how good a manager we get, the players must still be good talented players and they are not. It is not unpatriotic to admit that our players are crap. They are !! What a shambles they gave us in the same half a dozen qualifiers for 2008. McLaren cannot answer or be responsible for that embarrassing OWN GOAL against Croatia !! It is a player problem not manager problem. That's why we are finding discovering a manager to be our manager. We have've excusing these players for years... They have been travelling towards an apex the corner of which was reached at last at the end of that shameful game against Croatia. The crap will continue until we get good players. Then a good manager will want to join us.

Nah. Nicky Butt is a yard dog. If all players had've been fit this team would've had the experience to beat Croatia:

James
Cole
Terry
Ferdinand
P Neville
Hargreaves
Gerrard
Beckham (right)
J Cole (left)
Crouch
Rooney

Sprocket - you ask why Beckham? Did you see England's only goal from open play on Wednesday? That's why.

I would never put Beckham in the squad, unless i could make him sit on the bench and think about the fact that football is a team sport and you should play with passion for your country. It is an honour not a right.

Ok I admit it, I'm Alex Ferguson
