Both deliciously dehumanizing terms in their own right, but which one most strikes fear into your heart?

Illegal Aliens, because are disturbing in their sheer number, and the cause of a lot of trickle down effect to middle class America. Islamofascists are just as scary to me as Ultra-conservative Christians or extreme Orthodox Jews, or violent skinheads...etc. They exist, and their numbers grow because people are looking for answers that they don't find from everyday life (i.e., jobs, family, church, television...) Any extremist is able to find an audience and following because they are feeding into the fears of the people they recruit. Remove the fears, remove the recruit. Illegal Aliens aren't so easy of a problem to fix. All human beings should have the right to work, feed their families, and a better life, which is premise that many illegals use to come here. But it isn't as easy as that. What makes their country so bad that here is utopia? What if they took the effort it takes to come here via underground resources, and the effort to work, and change their own situation back home?
Just an opinion.

Islamofascists is a relegion. A religion that most of us dont believe in. Yes they want to hurt alot of people and yes some do but it is very often islamofascist act on their threats. Now lets talk about illegal aliens. Yes some do want to just support their families better and they can, just get a green card first. Most illegal aliens are coming over illegal because they have a back ground witch wont let them get a green card. And that all brings over people that are afraid to work cause they dont want to be deported so they go to stealing and lieing and even killing for money. Then you have these gang members comeing over illegaly starting gangs in your nahborhood which brings more killing and more and more drugs which go to kids that get dopped up and kill. So if i had to pick you was he greatest threat between Islamofascists or illegal aliens i would have to pick the illegal aliens.

Neither, the obvious is never a great threat because it is seen, and dealt with accordingly.
While these terms can arguably be called stereotypes, they also carry an obvious bias that anyone seeing them knows to guard against.
Look at those in the past who have successfully used propaganda.
They don't openly attack what they oppose, they build up a web of insinuation until people start to believe the insinuation even though they can't articulate a logical reason for their belief.
Look at the way the Nazi entertainment media vilified Jews, it made people in Germany ready to believe the most outrageous accusations, once the groundwork was laid.
You see the same today in our entertainment, and to a lesser extent, news media.
This is happening constantly in America today.
In the past two weeks I have seen three T.V. shows where Iraq vets comitted murder to cover up "war crimes" done in Iraq. I've seen a show that had a U.S. citizen taken to Gitmo and tortured by an unnamed government agency. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen Christians openly ridiculed in both TV and movies. I just saw a movie in which NRA members were refferred to as "burning crosses".
This could be regarded as artistic license, if the same completely false, negative stereotypes were directed at, for example, anti-war protesters, social service bureucrats, atheists, or the ACLU.
But the fasle insinuations are entirely one sided Only people who constantly do a reality check on this sort of unrelenting stereotyping will realize how fictious it really is.
If you just read the responses and questions here on Y!A you'll see that there are many who believe that we are commiting war crimes in Iraq, torturing prisoners at Gitmo, that all Christians are ignorant bigots, and all gun owners are members of the klan.
What's amazing is that it should even be neccessary to state that these are false. The falseness is as obvious as the falseness of Nazi claims about the Jews.
Yet, when people get a constant diet of propaganda, and the news media assists by censoring all the facts that disprove or dispute the propaganda, people are fooled.
Today, a large part of the American popultion is being fooled.
Remember Hitler got power by being elected, largely by people taken in by propaganda, there's a reason all the entertainment media, the overwhelming majority of news media, and the bulk of the so-called education system are spreading identical lies.
It isn't so that Americans can make informed decissions.

close by American Indians are no longer illegals. They have been born right here in united statesa.. They have been right here before Columbus. that's confusing for me to observe a western in some situations using fact i understand that some white adult adult males fought and wars have been fought to take the Indian's land. Indians have been allowed to stay their very own inner maximum lives on their land, yet that they had no theory that their have been Presidents of united statesa. and a Congress. some Indians in no way observed a city of their life. It became into significant for the Indian custom to grow to be aside of the civilized international too, to grow to be knowledgeable and be effective human beings. residing off the land is something we in basic terms can't do anymore if we'd like an prolonged, long life. i certainly donate to the loopy Horse Memorial to assist this mountain yearning be accomplished this is in honor of all close by American Indians. i presumed the american Indians got here from Canada, Mexico or Europe. save in mind that all the continents was once mutually like a jigsaw puzzle. that is an exciting documentary to be sure of ways the Indians arrived and stepped forward interior of america.

Both are equally destructive. Not necessarily in terms of a physical threat. But the changes that the two have brought about in the minds of the American people is what is threatening American civilization....

neither.

if we have to stoop to such a low point as to even make up the terms "islamofascists" and "illegal aliens" and then invent whole ideologies behind them, then whatever "american civilization" there is isn't worth saving...

Both are bad for this country but Islamofascists are worst because they wish harm on our country but illegal immigrants only want to earn enough to feed their families. They don't want to harm our country and if we simply taxed them and forced employers to pay them US legal wages then it would be a non-issue. That is politicians at fault not illegal immigrants. Who of you wouldn't want to go somewhere to work if your family was starving?

Again, Islamofascists don't believe in God and Jesus Christ and they are extremists that want to see all Christians dead. Which scares you more?
