I once had a student who showed me that he could burp the alphabet... I got grossed out at letter 'g' and had him stop. But, it was pretty impressive, I must say.

Jack Hawkins, the actor, lost his larynx to cancer and taught himself to speak by burping. Fascinated by this at the age of about eight, I myself learned how to do this. I stopped though, because my father complained it was putting him off his food.
