i am able to browse the web but when i want to go online for a game it says i need to be with psnetwork so itried signing up for it and said it needed my billing address .i thought it was free to playlive.y did it want my billing address?

It's just in case that you want to buy and download games from PSN. You don't have to fill it in. You can probably just leave it blank, or if you like, just put in some fake info.

It needs your billing address to confirm which region you want to sign up to (Europe/US/Japan etc).
It doesn't actually matter if it's your real address (they dont send out anything) unless you plan on using your credit card to buy items (PS1 games and some downloadable content) in the PSN store.
