Not necessarily related (although some schools of thought believe one can predispose the other) and definitely not the same; however, it is entirely possible to have both conditions concurrently.

Having the two together (I have both) are quite common but they are caused by different hormones. PCOS has to do with high testosterone levels and endometriosis often has to do with high estrogen levels.

Because of the differences in the kind of hormones it can sometimes make it hard for women with both to get treatment for both conditions.
