I'm 13 and my brother is 16. I don't want to get him money or a gift card and he's sort of a band nerd. he plays trumpet so i thought of getting him something for that, but i don't know what. also he loves video games (especially Halo) but those are usually too expensive for my price range.
Anyone have any inexpensive ideas?

A mute for soft playing; polishing cloth and polish to keep his trumpet looking nice; monogram initials for his carrying case; a portfolio for sheet music; and by all means, a note or card saying how much you like his playing. Being thoughtful is the nicest gift of all. Merry Christmas!

How about a Louis Armstrong CD, if he doesn't have one? He's probably the most famous trumpet player ever.

Honestly, if he's in marching band, his lips probably get very chapped from playing outside late in the season. He'd probably appreciate a multi-pack of Chapstick wrapped creatively (maybe in a little stocking)? It sounds cheap, but it definitely will come in handy! You can add some candy that he likes and maybe a few puzzle books from the dollar store and he'll probably be thrilled.

Well it might help to know your price range. If you can find a store like Gamestop you might be able to find him a game for under twenty bucks that will be used. Or you can get him a game guide for a game he already has.

you could get him a cool t-shirt at H&M or somewhere inexpensive, or go to the dollar store and get him some funny toys, they actually have some pretty interesting stuff like bug catching kits and stuff like that
