In a hypothetical question if the whole world including every single religion you can think of: muslims, christians, jews, cults, agnostics, hindus etc... found out today that 100% proof (don't ask me where the proof came from this question is hypothetical) religion is false and we're where dead we're dead, no afterlife what would the world be like?

I would hope that people would look inside themselves, and inside others for strength, and still have that trust, and faith, that everything will be alright. I would hope people wouldn't vanquish their morals, and still keep a light burning within themselves that believes in the impossible, and believes in their power of word and speech. I would hope that people would help each other even more through all times, tough, and joyous, since a lot of people would lose the serene support to which they would usually turn to.

Religion and hence God is a construct of man. It provides people for reasons why things happen, and yes explanations for what happens to us when we die. There are some for whom religion and hence god is a guide to the way life should be lived, but the specifics of this is very personalized. It is very possible that people would just construct some other belief system by which they live their lives.

Another possibility is denial of the evidence. This is being seen now with the struggle between the creationists and the evolutionists. There is significant scientific evidence that supports the theory of evolution, but many do not accept this as a viable theory to explain the world and in fact refuse to even let their children learn about it, even though it is the theory upon which all science is based.

This would not affect many people because they already believe it. In addition, there are people who believe in the universe and nature as being the driving forces of life. These people also would not be affected, as nature and the universe are hard to disprove.

If you think about religion in general, it already exists with little support. Most religions have some historical support for figures that exist in their sacred text, but there is little support for a god figure. Religions text are little more than myths of a particular religion. In the case of the Christian bible, many of the "miracles" that supposedly took place are easily explained by simple science, thus parts of the religion are somewhat debunked.

I think the answer leads back to religion be a man-made construct, thus even if there was proof there is no god, people would still believe it because they always have and because in general people need that little bit of hope that religion provides to help them understand why the world is the way it is.

I can only give you 100% proof that he exists. The other is impossible to prove. Proof Everything is created by someone. God created this World and us. (The energy always comes from the energetic) Anything going, working or moving has someone managing it. God is the Supreme Manager of everything. To think God does not exist is foolish childish and has no phelosophy behind it. It is simply childish concoctions. When one becomes a little intelligent, they can at least come to this cocnlusion that A superior being made this world and nature.

I believe it would end 99.9% of the divisiveness of the world. The thing that separates us from each other the most is religion. Then we'd just need to get rid of borders, political geography and ethnicity and realize that we are all the same race, the human race and it might be just about perfect! Of course, there would always still be class wars, the rich vs. the poor etc. etc. Humans just keep on finding ways to divide and separate ourselves from each other.

wow, almost no person is making an attempt to respond to the question. properly, i think of an quite proper quote is this; "a guy's ethical habit must be based effectively on sympathy, training, and social ties and needs; no religious foundation is needed. guy might certainly be in a foul way if he had to be constrained via worry of punishment and desire of reward after dying." - Einstein i think of that proclaims lots. a lot of human beings have faith they have a theory-center, while in actuality they have a spiritual-center. So, for this reason of blindly accepting morals (even however undesirable or solid) that are surpassed to you, the religious guy or woman isn't quite being righteous. they're performing Righteous, superficially. a lot of human beings think of, using fact they suspect interior the afterlife, that they'd positioned off making the moral alternatives on their very own, residing in procedures that isn't convey them the main fullfillment, treating anybody with the golden rule, etcetera, etcetera.. i think of that, a minimum of, the powers that be who're battling many (religious-based) wars, might the two end the battling, or proceed battling under the cloak of yet another lie. in case you eradicated all the religious conflicts interior the international, precise now, then there could be significant extra peace. If all the funds that went to faith became into redirected in direction of well being care, thousands and thousands of lives could be saved to assert the least. a lot of human beings could be compelled to study the concepts via which they stay, in the event that they desire to steer a ethical life. they might would desire to rather recoqnize interior of themselves what their concepts are.. an honesty lots extra durable & extra efficient than accepting such issues blindly. Having bigger their theory center, many ex-theists might grow to be extra enlighted approximately their different centers (funds, dating, exhilaration, and so on) and have the flexibility to maintain them in examine. All those centers, including faith center, you're in any different case based on.

for the few religious fanatics(they must be VERY religious fundamentalists): they will fight and slowly lose their minds by not being able to accept this

the the religious liberals: might change their minds and dump their religions or join the first group

for agnostics that follow no religions:they become atheist or lose all hope depending one the person

atheist: no change but fundamentalist atheist might celebrate this 'victory'
(my opinion only and i apologias if this offends any one)

MY INTENTION IS JUST TO HELP PEOPLE :
If there is no God ,so how come have we come to this world and those who study geography have said that there must be somebody behind this creation.religion is not bad but the believers are bad.Islam is the most complete religion,we belive Prophet Mohammad,Prophet Jesus,Prophet Moses,Prophey Davood. There is only one God who is Allah.Just belive in Allah and his Imams,Prophets,Messengers, and try to do good things.there would be an afterlife. There is an Imam in Shia muslim believe that will come and take us to the other world on a friday and that day is called yom-al-ghiama.GooD LucK.

sorry, even hypothetical, that makes no sense, in that if we are dead , and that is all it is, there would be no place for the proof to come from , this right here would be it, there would be nothing outside of this life
but anyway, the world i think would be in total mayhem, and would probably soon self-destruct

This truth is closer to you than you may see. Lifes creatures would see and perhaps accept their mortality. You could be free to enjoy the here and now without fear or consequence. You could be pure and spread your goodwill without judgement or reward. The world could find a greater freedom.
