Please Help me out here!! My Teacher is prone to making mistakes in the problems so even if it doesn't make any sense answere it with "There's a mistake."

subtract 2a so u have 7x = 3a - 2a + 5a. Simply that and you have 7x = 6a. divide by 7 and you have...

x = 6/7 a

7x + 2a - 2a = 3a + 5a - 2a
7x + 0 = 8a - 2a
7x = 6a
7x / 7 = 6a / 7
x = 6a / 7
For check
7( 6a / 7 ) + 2a = 3a + 5a
6a + 2a = 8a
8a = 8a
therefor the answer is correct
