belkin router,set up router on desktop,then disconnected everything to put wireless usb on desktop, and moved it to another room, im using wireless enabled laptop can access most of the net but i cant access isp homepage, progress bar after about ten minutes is no further than half way? cant access online acounts, must admit not very computer literate, and need help

doesnt really help no as computers drivers are different and i dont have a network set up wizard on the control panel, i can access the internet thats obvious i just cant get it to find isp homepage,router set up using manual and advice from supplier,but have the same prob on the desktop,progress bar will not go any further than half way. need to access email and online accounts.

trying to log into tiscali, just wont come up on the screen, laptop is vista, guy in shop assured me that they were compatible, as soon as i go on to internet i get yahoo instead of tiscali. same thing happens on the desktop?

Try setting up your network connection by going to

control panel > network set up wizard > next x2 > select NO > next > other > next x4 > select YES > next >finish

this is how to connect to your router correctly

Sometime just plugging everything in doesn't get it.
Try a System reset.
Turn your computers OFF
Pull the Power Adapter from your ISP's MODEM
Do the same with the ROUTER you have.
Now you must in the correct order.
Wait 5 minutes.
Plug in the Power Adapter to your ISP's MODEM and you must wait 1 minute.
Plug in your Routers Power Adapter and again you must wait 1 minute.
Now you can start your computers.
Now click on your Browser and it should load correct. If not go up to tools and scroll down to Internet Options and click it and type in the URL you want to load when you click on your browser.

If you are running Vista on laptop it is not compatible with Bt browser if Bt is your Isp. I have to open Internet explorer on my laptop then sign into bt browser with log in address and password. Hope this helps

what wireless unit are you using ie netgear or belkin etc
