When I touch the area around the front of my ear, I feel my face but when I touch the area around the back of it, I feel my neck so I'm not sure about which position of the head it sits in.

It almost sounds as though you have weird nerve connections. Ears are attached to the side of your head, but form part of the face for recognition purposes. The back of your head is not part of your neck, which ends at the base of your skull at the back.

Your face because your neck cut off line is directly below your ears and your ears curve upward towards the back of your head not neck.

You mean are your ears attached to your face or neck,not is. It's neither, they are attached to your head.

well ya know they are connected in a way to your nose & throat, so i would say face.
