this is what you do:

if you want to "connect" them, buy take a piece of string and some tape.

then you tape each end of string to each laptop.

and TA DA!! There connected

can connect the 2 via, ethernet cable or Firewire cable and activate Internet options including File Sharing. Or you can connect via Router, wireless if both have wireless cards or hard wire to the ports on the router. The step by step comes with all routers.

Use a router in ad-hoc mode. (or if you have a router already for internet access your already connected). Your laptops probably already have wireless capabilities but if either of both of them don;t then you will need ethernet cable to plug each of your computers into the router.

A cheap router can be had for $30

the internet cable. Dsl or modem cable. you do not connect 2 lap good at the same time. you have them connect in a community and then share documents or folder you desire to get entry to. that's in comparison to conecting a DVD participant into your television. in the event that they're pc you do not even want a cable you in basic terms bypass on the spot.

Use a router and 2 network cables. Easy, cheap and fast. Offcourse I assume that both computers have network connections, otherwise it is getting a bit messy.

for the lowest price and most simplicity, get an ethernet crossover cable to connect the two together (not an ordinary ethernet cable)

Ok, you have a few options here. Now my favorite has always been duct tape. But if that's not your thing, there is always crazy glue, which should be pretty instant. In a pinch you can also use gum (but it's not going to last- don't believe the commercials).
