America is being assimilated into the combined culture of the rest of the world. America is no longer the leader of the world's hopes and desires.
The last generation has produced no statesmen, no leaders who have a long term vision for the nation, no people who can use power instead of just holding onto it.

Many people come to America to visit on the holidays and to shop. When my grandfather immigrated to America in the 1920's, he learned English, but to his family, he still spoke some Russian and Yiddish.

I agree that illegal immigration is a problem, but just because you heard a lot of different languages while out shopping, that doesn't reflect in any way on "what the hell is happening to America"? What is happening is that global travel is easier now than it was even when I was growing up (1960's).

I live in Texas, and this time of year, many of the wealthy Mexicans come up here to do their Christmas shopping and then they return home again.

Those in retail welcome all the holiday buyers.

Things change. It's called evolution. You can't stay in the 1950's or whenever. Maybe they were all tourists?
