in theory, i would say this is true, in practice, i would say it isnt true, those with power claim parts of the earth for their own, and either dont allow others access, or else they set the terms of the access

The earth is not a property of anyone or anything. It just is the way it is, a mixture of materials moving through space. Of course, many people interpret a lot into it, giving it a reason for its existence, claiming properties, and what not. I let them do it until I find a way to enlighten them.

Property is a political concept and can only be upheld by protecting individual rights. Rights pertain only to those who understand them and comply with the concomitant; the pledge to refrain from violating the rights of others.

I would say its true, its just goverments that try to claim it for themselves. It belongs to earth as much as it does to the palnts ans animals, and other creatures we have little to know knowledge of.
