Well in some states it's illegal and others it's not. In NJ first cousins can't get a marriage license but in PA it's no problem. Of course if first cousins get married in PA and moves to NJ there's nothing the officials in NJ can do about it.
The Constitution guarantees that legal contracts in one state have to be honored in all states.
Now I think Rudy married his second cousin and most people seem to have little or no difficulty with that. First cousin marriages use to be quite common in the US up until 1950's and many prominent Americans were married to their cousins. Maybe Rudy is just bringing back an American tradition, maybe he's more conservative than we thought.

No, it's actually law that you can't marry someone from your own family. Rudy Giuliani did not marry his cousin.

It seems perfectly normal to my cousins' husbands. They married my cousins.

Not one's first cousin. Even marrying one's second cousin is unusual, though it's certainly not unheard of.

no it is not normal but when you have the endorsement of Pat Robinson you know it can not be considered abnormal after all he is the standard of the religious right
