I don't like the fake Christmas advertising either. I just try to keep in mind all of the genuine stuff that makes Christmas special.

Yes it does put a dampener on things because christmas is not celebrated for what it should be. And have you noticed that you cant even have time off now because the shops want their workers in, everything is so costly and then at the last minute they have a sale on. Its all about money and not about the celebration of what christmas really means anymore.

This year, yes. I used to like Christmas, ... but it seems every year, it gets worse.
My dog died on Christmas day, about 4 years ago... He got ran over.
My family's BEST friend killed herself 4 days after Christmas.
So, ya sorta.. My spirit isn't as happy around the holidays.

Yes it depresses me... I don't really like Christmas... I think everyone is very fake around Christmas being with family that are all pretending to get along when you know that they all hate each other. I don't know I think the true meaning of what Christmas is surposse to be got lost awhile ago sadly.
