I live in SC and they have some very good programs to help single parents. Job placement and daycare programs.. But you would have to move, which is a challenge in it's self. You have to start somewhere though...

I happen to like PHL. But anyway, why don't you take all of your anger and put towards your energy of moving? I think you need a more positive outlook on life, what about people that are worse off than you are? What about the homeless people that did not have a meal, or family to go to for Thanksgiving, and what about the rest of the holidays coming up, they spend it all by them selves. Sounds like you are a little ungrateful. Always remember there are lots more people that are much, much more worse off.. At least you have your kids to spend the holidays with...
There are great Museums such as Art Museum, Franklin Institute, Great and some of the best restaurants. Also the Intl Airport which is my home base where all my passengers get on board of the aircraft that I am a Captain of...
But I really do hope that better things are coming your way.
Good Luck, and Take Care,

First, figure out who "THEY" are.
Second, anyplace else would be the same.
Third, go to an area of light industrial companies and knock on doors looking for any steady work at any wage.
Fourth live day to day on what you get and ignore the threats you cannot do anything about.
Fifth, keep using the Internet whenever possible to keep in touch with the world you hope to someday live in.

Move down south. It's cheaper and the crime rate (though high everywhere these days) is still not as bad as up north. Don't just sit there and complain; make a move for your and your son. If you have to save up to move, do it. Get someone (if anyone) to help you move (financially and physically).
Above all, pray pray pray for help. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

I think you need to channel some of that anger into getting out of any predicament you seem to find yourself in.
So much anger can be turned on it's head and be used to improve your lot.
Try it.
