Awww, helloworld, it just takes some practice! I felt "all thumbs" in June and now I am pretty good at it.

There's hope-- pick up that cell and text away!

Since when did text messaging become an art??? And, don't worry if you're not good at text messaging. No one should be good at something as impersonal as that. I don't like text messaging, albeit, I've done it. My daughters both text message like their thumbs are on fire. I know they're going to experience problems (possibly Carpal Tunnel Syndrome) later in life as a result, but I can't get them to slow down, let alone stop.

I myself will text back to them, just to tell them that if they can't call, don't bother texting. That's about the extent of my text messaging. Thankfully, though, we have an unlimited text plan with our cell phone company. Otherwise, I'd be broke from the amount of text messages they send. Last month alone, my 14-year old sent over 2500 messages! I think she's able to do it in her sleep!

I've never sent a text message.
Only one other person knows my cell phone number.
The phone is for my convenience, and mine only.
I've owned my cell phone for 2 1/2 years. I've only had to recharge it 3 times.
I refuse to live on a leash 24/7.

I don't think mine even has text messaging. I'm not sure.
Doesn't matter, I wouldn't know how to use it anyway.
Besides....now kids don't get mad about this, but it just seems soooo stupid to me. I mean, imagine if we did not have telephones and instead had text messagers. Then, all of the sudden this wonderful invention hits the market. You can DIRECTLY SPEAK to a person!!!! Whoa, awsome. I gotta get me one of those. LOLOL Why would I text when I can speak?

I don't get it.
I'm getting old.
Hell...I'm not getting old....I be there already.

Once I have determined which company my recipient uses I go on line and send my text messages through the computer. My son's record so far is 3700 text messages sent and/or rec'd in one billing cycle.

No. I haven't even tried it yet. If I wanted that level of communication, I'd answer the damn thing. Besides, my fingers are blunt and not clever enough. I have enough trouble dialing.

Thanks, Give Blood, for letting me know I wasn't the last person in the world to get one. They do make nice watches.

Edit.
And the old lady is hassling me again to learn how to retrieve voice mail.

My son showed me how, but nobody I work with uses them and the people I care about, I want to hear their voices. Although, at work, we are beginning to be interested in camera phones. We've had several times where it would have been handy to take pictures and send them right to the boss.

Sorry, I have never used one.
Wouldn't even know how to answer one.
They ring all the time at work and people ask me why
I didn't answer it. It's because I don't know how!
I admit that I'm not keeping up with the masses!
And I don't feel like I've been left out in the least!

I don't have a cell now, but when I did texting seemed worse than using Morse code on a telegraph.
