Global temperatures reached a higher peak in the 30s. Remember the dust bowl of that era? Then temperatures cooled until the mid 70s when scientists were warning of a coming Ice Age. Today the natural cycle is nearing another peak. We can't do anything about it. Get over it.

Krazy,
Global warming doesn't mean that the seasons will stop happening. The world is changing, it's getting warmer, that's a fact. That means more summer storms (during the summer season) and harder winters (during winter). It means stronger hurricanes, typhoons, cyclones and tornadoes, it means more floods in wet areas, and more droughts in dry places.
What exactly is your issue with it, that Al Gore brought it to your attention? Would you feel better if Pat Robertson or Rush Limbaugh were championing the cause?
I'm really trying to understand you here because as a human being this is the only planet that we can live in (at least that we've discovered so far). If the planet is at risk, and there is even a slight chance that we might be the cause of it (or even if we're not), isn't it our responsibility to try and help?
Once again, what exactly is your issue? Who would like to be the spokesman in order for you to care?

Raising the costs of petrolium to elderly and reducing the subsidies is political and has nothing to do with global warming. We have to pay for Bush's war some how and that is just one more way that has been selected to do that. Nearly everything else has been gutted so why not this too? Since right wingers don't care about old people or poor people, here both the same people, it isn't likely the Administration or their supporters will be advocating any change other than take more from them. Democrats in Congress don't have the votes to override a veto of such an increase and the Republicans in Congress don't care about the will of the people and so they will not vote for it either.

I don't think anyone can tell you if global warming is causing colder winters or not. There is a La Nina this year and it came sooner than normal. That said, this winter will be a cool one. But, I have no way of telling whether or not this is due to global temperature increase. I think you'd be better off putting this question to someone at a climate research center.

yes Inconveniently convenient that global warming also causes global cooling. Rain also causes drought. Buy a carbon offset and save the world or at least fuel Gore jet.

Global warming does not mean it will never be cold. And fuel costs have gone up. Why are you confused?

No, this is a result of high oil prices and our government's lack of doing anything about it while the oil companies earn record profits.

It's cold as hell out, but we can't heat ourselves cause the fuel oil causes global warming.
NICE.
